🌊 Prophet Nuh’s Call

Allah sent Prophet Nūḥ (Noah, عليه السلام) to his people to warn them against idolatry and corruption and to call them to worship Allah alone.

He preached day and night, privately and publicly, urging them to seek Allah’s forgiveness and follow the straight path. (Sūrah Nūḥ 71:5–9)

💰 The Response of the Wealthy and Chiefs

The rich and powerful leaders rejected his message with arrogance.

Mockery and Arrogance

They said: “We see you as nothing but a man like ourselves.” (Hūd 11:27; al-Mu’minūn 23:24)

They mocked him for being followed by the poor and weak. (Hūd 11:27)

Demand for Superiority

They argued that if Nūḥ was truly a prophet, he should have been granted wealth, power, and worldly prestige.

Rejection of Accountability

They declared: “We see no merit in you over us; in fact, we think you are liars.” (Hūd 11:27)

🕊️ Prophet Nūḥ’s Response

He said: “O my people, I do not ask you for wealth; my reward is with Allah.” (Hūd 11:29)

He defended the poor believers and clarified he did not possess Allah’s treasures nor knowledge of the unseen, nor was he an angel. (Hūd 11:29–31)

He warned them of punishment if they persisted. (Hūd 11:32–34)

⚡ Outcome & Lesson

Allah commanded the Ark; the flood drowned the rejecters and saved the believers. (Hūd 11:36–44) Lesson: arrogance and pride in wealth block guidance; humility opens the way to truth.
